Before you start
You need a Kaufland seller account with access to the Seller Portal's API settings, a Pricebeeper account with a confirmed email address, and the owner or admin role in that account. Connections hold credentials, so other team roles can see them but not add them.
Kaufland's keys open the whole Seller API; Kaufland has no read-only key. Pricebeeper uses them only to list your offers, and calls Kaufland as a registered technology partner alongside your keys, so Kaufland can see which app made each request.

Step 1: Find your API keys in the Seller Portal
Open the API settings
Sign in to the Kaufland Seller Portal and open the API page in your account settings.
Create the keys
If no keys are listed yet, create them. Kaufland shows a client key and a secret key.
Copy both
Copy the client key and the secret key. Keep the secret key private: anyone who has both can act for your seller account.
If you already use these keys for another app, you can use the same pair for Pricebeeper.
Step 2: Connect them in Pricebeeper
Open Connections
In Pricebeeper, go to Settings, Connections, choose Add connection and pick Kaufland Marketplace.
Fill in the access details
Pick the Storefront whose offers you want (Kaufland.de, .cz, .sk, .pl, .at, .fr, .it, .es or .nl), then paste the Client key and the Secret key.
Choose what each sync does
Add new products brings in offers that aren't in your catalog yet, each with its Kaufland product page. Use its prices as your own prices makes your Kaufland price the one competitors are compared with. Unit costs aren't offered: Kaufland doesn't hold your purchase prices.
Connect and test
Choose Connect and test. Pricebeeper signs in, reads the first products and shows them with their codes, barcodes, costs and prices, so you can check them before the full sync runs in the background.

What a sync changes
Each sync reads every product Kaufland lists and finds the matching product in your catalog: first by product code (SKU), then by barcode (EAN or GTIN). A code or barcode that several of your products share matches none of them, so a duplicate never gets the wrong cost.
- Unit cost replaces the cost Pricebeeper had, when Update unit costs is on. Repricing keeps every suggestion above the margin floor it sets.
- Your own price becomes the price competitors are compared with, when Use its prices as your own prices is on.
- Codes and barcodes fill in where a product had none, which helps Pricebeeper find the exact product at other sellers.
- Products that match nothing are counted and listed on the connection, so you can see what is missing from your catalog.
Each offer is one item: its code is the offer ID you gave it, its barcode the product's EAN, and its brand the manufacturer Kaufland lists. Prices are in the storefront's currency: euros on most storefronts, Czech crowns on Kaufland.cz and złoty on Kaufland.pl. New offers can take a few minutes to appear in Kaufland's API, so an offer you just listed may arrive at the next sync.
A sync never deletes, renames or moves anything, and it reads only: Pricebeeper writes nothing back to your system. Approved prices reach your store only through a store you connect for repricing.
Step 3: Check the results
The connection shows when it last synced, how many offers it read, added and updated, and how many it couldn't match. Sync now runs it straight away; the switch pauses it. New products wait under Products, filtered as not monitored: choose the ones to watch and attach them to a region, as the getting started guide explains.

Selling on several Kaufland storefronts? Add one connection per storefront. An offer listed on two storefronts with the same offer ID or EAN stays one product in your catalog. Leave Use its prices as your own prices on for the storefront whose price you compare competitors with, and switch it off on the others, so your own price always comes from one place.
When a sync fails
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| The login, key or token was refused | One of the keys is wrong, or the pair was replaced in the Seller Portal. Copy both again and paste them with Edit. |
| The source answered, but listed no products | The account has no offers on the storefront you chose. Edit the connection and pick the storefront you sell on. |
| The source asked us to slow down | Nothing: the next scheduled sync tries again. If it keeps happening, choose a weekly sync. |
| The source had an error on its side | Nothing at first: the next sync tries again. If it fails for days, check the system's status page. |
After ten failed scheduled syncs in a row a connection pauses itself, so it stops trying with details that no longer work. Fix the setting with Edit, then switch it back on.
Questions people ask
Why can't I see Kaufland in the list?
Kaufland connections appear once Pricebeeper's technology partner registration with Kaufland is active. If you don't see it under Marketplaces, write to support and we'll tell you when it is.
Will Pricebeeper watch competitors on Kaufland?
This connection brings in your own catalog. Competitor offers on Kaufland are a separate price source you can add under Settings, Price sources, with the same keys.
How are my keys and passwords stored?
Encrypted, and never shown again, not even to you: the connection shows only a short hint. Only the account owner and team admins can add or change connections, and they are sent only to the address you entered.
Does Pricebeeper change anything in my system?
No. Connections only read. Give the access the least rights that let it read products and prices, and Pricebeeper can never change your data.
Does a connection use my plan's slots?
No. Slots are used only when you attach a product to a region to monitor it. Connections keep your catalog's codes, costs and prices current on every plan.
