Who Pricebeeper suits better than Wiser
Mid-sized retailers that can't justify an enterprise project
Pricebeeper's Growth plan costs $209 a month for 3,000 slots, with daily re-checks, MAP monitoring and repricing. Wiser publishes no prices; its pages ask you to book a 15-minute call so it can recommend a solution.
Chains whose competitor prices differ by state or province
Pricebeeper lets you choose from about 1,700 states and provinces in 67 countries yourself: 10 regions on Pro, 25 on Business. Wiser tracks region and in-cart prices too, set up with its team as part of a quoted plan.
Online retailers that want to test on their own catalog first
Pricebeeper's Free plan monitors 50 products at no cost, and Growth has a 14-day trial without a card. Wiser starts with a call and a demo, with no price shown before it.
Retailers who want to see which competitors advertise
Growth, at $209 a month, flags Google Shopping ads in every monthly search, watches Search ads for chosen products and pulls each competitor's Ads Transparency activity monthly. Wiser's three products cover prices, the digital shelf and MAP.

What Wiser sells and what Pricebeeper sells
Wiser Solutions is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in France, Mexico and India. It sells three products: Price Intelligence for competitor prices, Market Intelligence for how brands appear across retailers, and MAP Intelligence for reseller enforcement. Its site says it tracks more than 443 million products and 716,000 sellers for retailers and brands in 45+ countries.
Pricebeeper is a newer, self-serve tool for competitor price monitoring. It searches Google Shopping and Amazon for the sellers of each product you monitor, matches them by barcode, and records their prices by country or by state. On Growth, Pro, Business and Custom it adds MAP monitoring, repricing and competitor ad monitoring.
What each costs, and how you find out
Wiser doesn't publish prices or a minimum term. Its product pages end with an offer to learn about your business and recommend a solution, and its FAQ pages invite you to book a 15-minute call. You get a number after that conversation.
Pricebeeper's plans are on the pricing page. Starter costs $39 a month for 500 slots, Plus $99 for 1,500, Growth $209 for 3,000, Pro $799 for 12,000 and Business $1,999 for 30,000. A slot is one product in one region, so 1,000 products in 3 states use 3,000 slots and fit Growth. Annual billing is about 17% cheaper, and you can cancel from the billing page.
Without a Wiser quote the bills can't be compared, so compare the path instead. With Wiser it is a call, a recommendation and setup by its team. With Pricebeeper it is a sign-up form, an import and a list of products, queued for a scheduler that runs every 15 minutes.
Check frequency, where Wiser leads
Wiser's Price Intelligence page says it tracks 4 million+ competitor prices, updated as often as every 15 minutes across your full catalog. Its FAQ adds that delivery can be daily, several times a day or in real time, depending on the setup, with alerts by API and webhook.
Pricebeeper runs much slower. It searches Google Shopping and Amazon once a month on every paid plan, so a new seller appears at the next monthly search unless you pin its page. For a matched product that search lists up to 40 Google sellers. Amazon offers and stores that block checks change only at that search.
Between searches, Pricebeeper re-reads every known seller's own page weekly on Starter and Plus, and daily on Growth and up, with the 5 cheapest offers and your pinned pages every 6 hours. A Check now button re-reads a product on demand, and daily or hourly searches are available on the Custom plan. Daily re-checks explains why known sellers can be read far more often than new ones are searched for.
Regions, stores and carts
Wiser says it tracks prices down to region or in-cart pricing, and its retailer page offers to identify price differences by region and store format. Pricebeeper collects neither in-cart nor store-level prices.
Pricebeeper tracks by country and by first-level region, about 1,700 of them across 67 countries: US states, Canadian provinces, German states and the like. Google Shopping shows different sellers and prices by location, so each state is tracked as its own region and counts toward your plan's cap. Regional price tracking covers how that works. It reads listed prices, not what a cart shows at checkout.
Matching and data quality
Wiser uses UPCs as the backbone of matching, then compares titles, attributes, pack sizes and images. A quality control team reviews more than 20,000 matches a month, and Wiser states accuracy above 98%. It also runs sample checks and flags UPC mismatches and price anomalies.
Pricebeeper matches by GTIN barcode first, then brand and title. Once a product is matched to a Google Shopping product or an Amazon ASIN, every seller under it is the same item. Doubtful matches are flagged for you to confirm or reject, singly or in bulk. Exact product matching explains the method. Pricebeeper publishes no accuracy figure and has no review team; the final check is yours.
MAP enforcement and access control
Wiser's MAP Execution checks sellers around the clock and says it finds a price drop within hours across sites, apps and marketplaces. It slices violations by seller, SKU and region, flags unauthorized sellers, and sends strike notices from templates, keeping a record of each action.
Pricebeeper's MAP monitoring on Growth, Pro, Business and Custom groups violations by seller and region, keeps an authorized-seller list, and stores a SHA-256 hashed snapshot of what was seen. It exports a CSV per seller with the offer URL, the price seen and the evidence hash, which you attach to your own notice.
For access control, Wiser lists role-based access and SSO. Pricebeeper has owner, admin, member and viewer roles, two-factor sign-in, up to 100 free viewer seats, and SSO over OpenID Connect or SAML on Business and Custom.

When Wiser may suit you better
Prices in your category change within the hour
Wiser's Price Intelligence page says prices update as often as every 15 minutes across your catalog. Pricebeeper searches for new sellers once a month and re-reads known sellers' pages weekly on Starter and Plus, and daily on Growth and up with the 5 cheapest every 6 hours. Daily or hourly searches are only on the sales-led Custom plan.
You price by store format or check in-cart prices
Wiser tracks down to region or in-cart pricing and helps retailers price by region and store format. Pricebeeper's smallest unit is a state or province, and it doesn't read in-cart, store-level or zip-code prices.
Your brand team wants MAP enforcement run from the tool
Wiser's MAP Execution sends strike notices from pre-built email and vendor templates, keeps a record of every enforcement action, and schedules compliance reports. Pricebeeper records violations with evidence and exports a CSV per seller for your notices, but doesn't send notices itself.
You want digital shelf data and a long record
Wiser's Market Intelligence adds ratings, reviews, listings and assortment across retailers, and it names 750+ brands and retailers as customers, one of them for 7 years. Pricebeeper is newer, has no public reviews, and doesn't track ratings or reviews.
Questions people ask
How much does Wiser cost?
Wiser doesn't publish prices. Its pages ask you to book a call so it can learn about your business and recommend a solution, and the price follows from that. Pricebeeper's plans are published, from $39 a month for 500 products to $1,999 for 30,000 slots across 25 regions.
How often does Wiser update competitor prices?
As often as every 15 minutes, according to its Price Intelligence page, with daily or several-times-a-day delivery also available. Pricebeeper searches for sellers once a month, then re-reads known sellers' pages weekly on Starter and Plus, and daily on Growth and up with the 5 cheapest every 6 hours. If you need sub-hourly data, Wiser is the one of the two that offers it.
Can Pricebeeper track in-cart or store-level prices like Wiser?
No. Pricebeeper reads listed prices on Google Shopping, Amazon and competitor product pages, by country or by state and province. It doesn't read in-cart prices, store-level prices or zip codes. Wiser tracks region and in-cart prices and helps retailers price by store format.
Is Pricebeeper a Wiser alternative for a mid-sized retailer?
Yes, if monthly seller searches with daily re-checks of known sellers are frequent enough. A retailer with 1,000 products in 3 states fits Growth at $209 a month, with MAP monitoring and repricing, and can start the same day without a call. It isn't if you need 15-minute updates, in-cart prices or MAP notices sent from the tool.
