Minderest alternative

Pricebeeper vs Minderest

Minderest is a Spanish price intelligence company, founded in 2012, that monitors online stores, marketplaces and even physical shops for large retailers and brands, with no public prices. Pricebeeper is self-serve competitor price monitoring: it finds your competitors on Google Shopping and Amazon, tracks them by country or by state, and costs $39 to $1,999 a month on published plans.

The short answer

Choose Minderest if you need prices from physical stores or by postcode, want a vendor team to match products and maintain scrapers under an SLA, or monitor dozens of named retailers across many countries. Choose Pricebeeper if you want to see competitor prices this week without a sales process, track by US state or Canadian province, and pay a known monthly price: 3,000 products with MAP and repricing cost $209 a month on Growth.

Who Pricebeeper suits better than Minderest

  1. Shopify retailers who want competitor prices this week, without a project

Minderest's pages lead to a demo with its pricing experts and list no prices. Pricebeeper is a sign-up form: import a Shopify store of up to 50,000 products, attach the ones to monitor, and they are queued for a first check by a scheduler that runs every 15 minutes.

  2. Shops with 500 to 3,000 branded products on a fixed budget

Pricebeeper costs $39 a month for 500 products, $99 for 1,500 and $209 for 3,000. Minderest's site lists no prices; it says 11 of the world's 50 largest retailers use it and it runs more than 1,000 enterprise projects.

  3. US and Canadian chains that price by state or province

Pricebeeper lets you pick from about 1,700 states and provinces yourself, with 10 regions on Pro at $799 a month. Minderest can segment data by zones or postcodes, which goes deeper, but its price isn't published.

  4. Brands policing resellers on Google Shopping and Amazon

Pricebeeper includes MAP monitoring on Growth at $209 a month, with violations by seller and a hashed evidence snapshot. Minderest sells MAP and MSRP monitoring with screenshots of each price variance, priced on request.

Two different ways to buy price data

Minderest describes itself as the first Spanish company to specialize in price and stock intelligence, starting in 2012. Its site cites more than 100 staff, over 1,000 enterprise projects and 5 billion prices tracked a day, with customers such as Sony, Leroy Merlin Spain and Decathlon Spain. It sells two platforms: Minderest for monitoring and analysis, and Reactev for AI dynamic pricing.

Pricebeeper is a newer, self-serve tool for competitor price monitoring. You import your catalog, pick the products and regions to watch, and it searches Google Shopping and Amazon for the other sellers. There is no project phase and no account manager on the standard plans; the sales-led Custom plan adds one.

Cost and how you get started

Minderest doesn't publish prices. Its pages end in a demo request with its pricing experts, and its site doesn't state a minimum contract, a trial or setup time. So the costs can't be set side by side; what can be compared is how you get from interest to data.

Pricebeeper's plans are fixed and listed on the pricing page. A slot is one product in one region.

1,000 products in 3 statesGrowth$209
1,200 products in 10 statesPro$799
3,000 products in 10 regionsBusiness$1,999

The first row costs $468 over a year, or $388 billed annually. You can cancel from the billing page, and Growth has a 14-day trial without a card. Minderest's route suits a buyer who wants a vendor to scope the project; Pricebeeper's suits one who wants to try it the same afternoon.

Where Minderest reaches that Pricebeeper doesn't

Minderest is ahead on reach. Its InStore mobile app records prices, catalog and stock in physical stores, and that data joins the online data in the same tool. Its MAP page says you can segment by zones or postcodes. It lists Google Shopping, Idealo, Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, shopping apps and B2B portals as sources, and its InSite browser extension shows the data while you browse a competitor's site.

Pricebeeper covers Google Shopping (including Walmart and eBay sellers that list there) and Amazon in 67 countries and about 1,700 states and provinces, plus competitor pages you pin and bol.com and Kaufland through your own seller account. It has no in-store capture, no postcode or store-level prices and no comparison engines such as idealo. Regional price tracking explains what a state-level region gives you.

Matching: done for you, or confirmed by you

Minderest combines AI matching with human review. Your own team can review and match products in its platform, or its matching experts can do it, and it says it can match products with no EAN or UPC, including similar and white-label items.

Pricebeeper matches by GTIN barcode first, then brand and title. When a product is matched to a Google Shopping product or an Amazon ASIN, every seller listed under it is the same item. Doubtful matches are flagged for you to confirm, reject or re-run, one at a time or in bulk. Exact product matching covers the rules. The trade-off is plain: Minderest's approach takes the work off your team, and Pricebeeper's leaves the doubtful cases to you.

Update frequency

Minderest's product pages describe daily updates of prices, promotions and stock, with alerts when any seller's price, product or stock changes.

Minderest updates more often. Pricebeeper searches Google Shopping and Amazon for sellers once a month, so a shop that starts selling your product shows up at the next monthly search, unless you pin its page. Amazon offers and stores that block checks also change only at that search.

Between searches, Pricebeeper re-reads each known seller's own page: weekly on Starter and Plus, daily on Growth and up, with the 5 cheapest offers and your pinned pages every 6 hours on Growth and up. So on Growth, every known seller whose page can be read is checked at least as often as Minderest's daily cadence, up to 40 Google sellers per matched product. A Check now button re-reads a product on demand. Price alerts compare each seller with its own previous price and go out by email, in the app, to Slack or to a webhook.

Dynamic pricing, MAP and integrations

Minderest's dynamic pricing platform, Reactev, sets prices from market position, cost and demand elasticity models, and its plugins for Adobe Commerce, PrestaShop and Shopify can apply prices automatically or after review. Its API and exports feed Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, ERPs and CRMs. It is ISO 27001 certified and supports single sign-on.

Pricebeeper's repricing on Growth, Pro, Business and Custom uses rules rather than elasticity models: match or beat the lowest price, aim at a percentile, or hold a band around the median, inside a floor, ceiling and maximum change. Approved prices are written to Shopify or WooCommerce. MAP monitoring on the same plans records each violation with a SHA-256 hashed snapshot. The API is on every plan, and Business adds SSO over OpenID Connect or SAML.

Running both on the same products

A fair test takes a week. Pick 100 products with barcodes, ask Minderest for a demo on them, and load the same list into Pricebeeper's Growth trial. Compare the sellers each finds, how many are the exact product, and what each would cost for your full catalog. Create a Pricebeeper account to start your side.

When Minderest may suit you better

  • You need shelf prices from physical stores

Minderest's InStore mobile app collects prices, catalog and stock in physical stores and syncs them with its platform. Pricebeeper tracks online prices only and has no in-store capture.

  • You want people to do the matching for you

Minderest pairs its AI matching with a team of matching experts who can match your catalog for you, including products without an EAN or UPC. Pricebeeper matches automatically and asks you to confirm doubtful matches; it has no managed matching service.

  • You need postcode-level data, daily updates or many markets

Minderest segments prices by zones or postcodes, says its data covers 180+ markets, and supports customers in 5 languages under an SLA with response times from one hour. It describes daily updates of prices, promotions and stock, while Pricebeeper searches for new sellers once a month. Pricebeeper stops at state or province level in 67 countries.

  • You run Adobe Commerce or PrestaShop, or report in Power BI

Minderest has plugins for Adobe Commerce (Magento), PrestaShop and Shopify, and feeds Power BI, Tableau and Looker Studio. Pricebeeper connects to Shopify and WooCommerce; other platforms use CSV, a Merchant Center feed or the API.

Questions people ask

How much does Minderest cost?

Minderest doesn't publish prices; you request a demo and receive a quote. Its site doesn't state a minimum contract or a free trial. Pricebeeper's plans are published: $39 a month for 500 products, $209 for 3,000 with MAP and repricing, and $1,999 for 30,000 slots across up to 25 regions.

Does Pricebeeper track in-store prices like Minderest?

No. Pricebeeper tracks online prices only: Google Shopping, Amazon, competitor websites you pin, and bol.com and Kaufland through your own seller account. Minderest's InStore mobile app collects prices and stock in physical stores, so if you need in-store prices, Minderest is the one of the two that has them.

Can Pricebeeper track prices by postcode?

No. Pricebeeper's smallest unit is a first-level region, such as a US state, a Canadian province or a German state, out of about 1,700 across 67 countries. Minderest segments data by zones or postcodes. If your prices differ by state but not by street, Pricebeeper covers it at a published price.

Is Pricebeeper a Minderest alternative for smaller retailers?

Yes, for online monitoring. A shop with 500 products can start on Starter at $39 a month the same day, without a demo. It won't replace Minderest's in-store data, postcode segmentation or managed matching, and it has no public reviews yet, where Minderest names customers such as Sony and Decathlon Spain.
